Rebecca Scolnik is a saxophone and woodwind musician based in Brisbane with a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Being a freelance musician and teacher, as well as leading lady of the Bec Scolnik Trio, Rebecca was in need of an identity to promote her performances and lessons. Looking at Rebecca’s name, Elise saw the potential to turn the letter ‘b’ into a saxophone and utilised it by combining both wordmark and pictorial. To continue the saxophone theme, the brass colour was inserted into the blue colour palette which represented the ‘blues’ style element of Rebecca’s music.
